a love sonnet written by a superb bird of paradise

i like dancing with you. you follow your own rhythm
and you sing
when you dance.

i like your voice;
it's hoarse.
raspy charm.

my heart flutters when you smile.
bright, beaming, brilliant,
and blue.
—
pringles-man-esque.
—
it's impractical, i know.
even darwin said it made him feel sick…

form over function; risking predation for beauty

but

while research has answers;
elaborate scientific vernacular

your extravagance is unparalleled by those
terms

and as for my answer

it's simple,

you do it for me.
