Poetry

Birds of Winter

Snowflakes falling
Twirling around in the cold winter breeze.
Songbirds singing in the frigid winter wind
Singing silent but graceful tunes.
Deer prancing around in the powerdry snow
Stopping occasionally to catch their breath.
Trees swaying to the beat of the songbirds' sweet tune
Brushing off their excess snow onto anyone who might be underneath them.
The sun hiding from the world below
Using clouds as shields.
