Cold

Cold
Sitting in my room with a pencil and a pen
Thinking back, sinking back into who I was then
Oh when
Remembering the good which stings back in the bad
Thinking back to all of the old friends I used to have
Could it be that you and me ended much too soon
Could it be that you and me could've made it through
Cuz we knew all each other's secrets
And I promise I will keep it
Though we have gone our separate ways
And it didn't end okay
You were still the friend I cared for
Who I'll always cared for therefore
The secrets that we hold I'll keep them cold
Thinking back to who we were and who we have become
Wondering, just wondering if we could still be friends
But it's dumb
Because thinking back it wouldn't be too smart to hit restart
Thinking back we weren't too keen to fix the broken parts
Could it be that you and me ended when it was right
Could it be that you and me never quite fit right
But we knew all each other's secrets
And I promised I would keep them
Though we have gone our separate ways
And it didn't end okay
You were still the friend I cared for
Who I'll always care for therefore
The secrets that we hold I'll keep them cold
Even after everything we told
Even after all of the pain that we will hold
The secrets that we hold
The secrets that I hold
I'll keep them cold
